Strike with the Deadliest Manner Possible: What’s Next?
The European Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (EUASU) is pleased to announce the upcoming international roundtable titled "Strike with the Deadliest Manner Possible: What’s Next?", scheduled for May 26, 2025.
The roundtable is dedicated to a discussion of the recently released book "Strike with the Deadliest Manner Possible", authored by Dr. Oleg Maltsev and Dr. Harvey Wolf Kushner, with a foreword by Dr. Prof. Jerome Krase. The publication explores the nature and evolution of war crimes over time, offering critical insight into their historical roots and evolution.
This book delves deep into the evolution of war crimes, providing historical examples and contemporary cases from the war in Ukraine. The authors present an unprecedented deep examination, making it a must-read for those who seek to understand what is truly happening in the world.
Author Dr. Maltsev Oleg, EUASU Presidium member:
"Within the framework of this ongoing conflict, my interest resides in dissecting the evolution of war crimes, rather than the war itself. The book will also examine the contemporary events, drawing examples from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to illustrate evolution of war crime”
Author Dr. Harvey Kushner, Chairman of the Presidium:
"Given his intimate knowledge of Italian organized crime, I was also interested in his chapter on the similarities of PMC Wagner and Camorra, the Italian Mafia-type criminal organization and criminal society. His analyses did not disappoint. [...] My hope is that his take on the subject at hand will have a similar impact on its reader as International Terrorism Through Polish Eyes had almost two decades ago."
Author of the foreword Dr. Prof. Jerry Krase, the President of EUASU stated:
"As this unjust war continues, world leaders and the general public would be well advised to adopt the difficult perspective presented herein that defies the simplistic logics in current use by analysts and planners that not only lead to war but make them so much more difficult to “justly” conclude."
Discussion questions:
- The book review: most valuable scientific contribution of the "Strike the deadliest manner possible"
- May this kind of book influence the future?
- The evolution of war crimes: what's next
This roundtable will bring together scholars and professors from around the world — including the UK, USA, France, Germany, and Ukraine — to reflect on the importance of this publication, its relevance to today’s global landscape, and the groundbreaking ideas presented by the authors.
