Post-Apocalyptic Life Era conference (PALE)
May 22, 2020
COVID-19 christened by the media and named by who as a pandemic turned out to be a milestone event. It has metamorphosed into a socio-psychological phenomenon from being a sanitary and epidemiological crisis and has radically altered understandings of the circularity of economic, banking, administrative and humanitarian local crises. The globalization of the modern world demolished civilizational threats. For the first time in the last 100 years, every sphere of human life and activity was affected thus making every human being vulnerable to the present threat.
The local threats posed by responses to the COVID-19 are exacerbated by a variety of specifications: the country’s political system, mentality, culture and population density, migration activity, quality of life and many other things, make it even harder to come up with objective prognosis and far-reaching measures to prevent the pandemic.
Paradoxically, up to this point, not a single tactical scheme to deal with the pandemic has been proposed, which raises a number of questions. Epidemics and pandemic are a priority when it comes to global threats. It does not matter what would be the form of consequences of these kinds of happenings in the future – fatal coincidences, accidents, or blatant marketing tools in the hands of shady private intelligence services, or other ways, what is important is that subsequently this global lever will be used on an all-inclusive scale.
As of today, we must admit broad-scale failure in developing tactics of dealing with the current situation and incapacity to organize events that would confine epidemics on the local level. Based on the aforementioned, taking into account the demands of today’s democratic society the initiative group of PALE-2020-Conference has organized this international conference.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
Critically and objectively evaluating the current state of affairs from an interdisciplinary point of view, we are seeing panic concerns about the spread of the virus COVID-19, that leaves without due consideration the consequences of the political, administrative, economic and humanitarian measures of confinement and preventive policies of the states: that in fact, crumble markets, services by improper restriction of constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens.
We believe there is an indispensable need for the consolidation of the managing and intellectual prominent figures of the international community to discuss ways of resolving the abovementioned civilizational problems of the post-apocalyptic era.
In total 5 online panels were held
Dogmas of the new era (date: May 22, 2020)
1. No one anticipated neither the pandemic threat nor the consequences that followed. But where is religious foreknowledge, which has to have corresponding prognoses?
2. Quite a large number of priests and monks got infected with the coronavirus. This kind of tendency has a heavy influence on their followers (congregation) and raises many questions and uncertainty.
3. The judgment of the situation by adherents (of any given religion). Belief is what is meant to protect one from invisible. If any given belief was not able to guard a person, one may ask himself: to what extent it is dependable, and most importantly, to what extent it is indispensable, or should one seek for something else?
Prognosis: what happens after the orgy? (date: May 23, 2020)
1. How will relations and attitudes of people change in society (attitudes to events, to the state, to each other)?
2. The private (local) level of responsibility is more effective than the state level, but there is no state that accepts this obvious trend.
3. Why do many scientists dismiss the possibility that the pandemic is being used as an instrument to address certain issues and/or solve some tasks globally?
4. Private emergency operations service (rescue service) as an effective tool to deal with global threats and consequences.
Consequences of the pandemic:will organized crime take over? (date: May 24, 2020)
1. Criminalization of society. Criminalization always occurs (self-sufficient organization of people with their own rules), when states manifest failure to cope with extreme situations in the face of global threats. In turn, entities established on their own without taking into account state interests and other people tend to become criminalized and/or regarded as such.
2. Criminalization ways. How it may take place? What are the new ways of the emergence of organized crime? Is it true that crime is taking over today? What forms of crime might still appear after post-pandemic?
Business. How post-capitalism would look like? (date: May 25, 2020)
1. What should a businessman do during the transition to post-capitalism of modern society? How it would be possible to organize a business activity in times of economic crises (online, offline, or a combination)?
2. Adequate education. Past theories, forecasts, and teachings do not work today. Which professions and services will be highly-demand in the near future? Where one can study, upgrade his skills and qualification? What should executives and subordinates do?
3. How to make governments abide by the constitution and do not break the law in times of global threats? How to make the country’s economy and business environment independent from an ineffective government?
Psychology of inferiority
Date: May 26, 2020
1. Inferiority as a new category of world psychological science
2. Pandemic as a test or project
3. Ancient Jewish conflict as a prime example from any textbook on strategic governance.
